Educational Technology 2 Assignment

1. Do you consider yourself that you belong to technology or digital generation?

I do consider myself that I belong to technology or digital generation because everyday I surf the internet, use my phone, watch television and engage in many other activities that involves the use of technology. My day will not be complete if I haven’t used these gadgets because it became part of my daily routine. And because of that it is hard for me to cease this kind of addiction. I challenged myself not to use my phone and computer for 1 day but just for hours I find myself holding my phone again and turned on the computer. This really shows that I can’t really help myself to stop using what I have accustomed with. And also in doing school projects or requirements it always involves the use of technology. Like in this Educational Technology 2 subject we are required by our teacher to make an account in the website called blogspot so that whenever she will give us an assignment or project we will just send it to her by creating our own blog.

2. Do you support information technology evolution? How?

          Yes, I support information technology evolution by incorporating to my students what I have learned about technology. As a 20^th century teacher, I am obligated to teach my students the trends of our society today which includes the use of technology in the learning process. This will help the students to become more active, creative and more interested to participate in the lesson. It is more on hands-on activities in which the students themselves are the ones who participates.
